Importing a used vehicle to Cameroon with DABEX
A used car from Europe or the United States is often better equipped and better maintained than a vehicle bought locally, but importing it yourself means finding a reliable seller, organising the shipping, clearing customs and registering the car. DABEX handles these steps with you.
How it works
- Your request: tell us the model, the year, the fuel, the gearbox and your budget in FCFA, or send us the link of a vehicle you have already found.
- Selection and checks: we look for the vehicle through our suppliers and partners and check its history, mileage and condition before you pay.
- Shipping: the vehicle travels by sea to the port of Douala. We keep you informed until it arrives.
- Customs and delivery: we follow the clearance with licensed agents and hand the vehicle over to you in Douala or Yaoundé, with its documents for registration.
Customs duties and taxes depend on the vehicle, its age and its engine, and the rules change from time to time. We explain the current rules and give you a full estimate before you order, so you know the total cost in FCFA from the start.
